The goal
PletX delivers adaptive DDoS protection without static, one-size-fits-all rules. Their system adjusts to each environment individually rather than applying a blanket configuration. We use PletX across our infrastructure because that level of flexibility is what running reliable hosting actually requires.
How PletX started
PletX was started by a team with backgrounds at well-known hosting companies, who'd spent years as constant DDoS targets. They evaluated everything on the market and kept running into the same issues: inadequate protection, high costs, too many false positives, or solutions that disconnected users mid-session to activate protection modes. They built PletX from scratch to address all of it.
Why we use PletX
PletX protection is permanent and always active — it doesn't wait for an attack to be detected. When a new pattern is identified, filters are patched or extended within minutes, with no service interruption.
Fast and reliable
Deployment and rule updates are designed to be fast and accurate. Changes take effect within seconds of being pushed.
Symmetric filtering
PletX requires symmetrical traffic routing to keep false positive rates as low as possible. Outgoing connections are never interrupted during active mitigation.
XDP/eBPF powered
PletX processes traffic at the kernel level using XDP/eBPF, with low resource usage and high throughput. The system routes the traffic through multiple PoPs to optimize performance and reliability.
